About
Timothy Foss
CEO | Visual Storyteller
I’m a professional graphic recorder with over a decade of experience helping groups see and shape their ideas. Before that, I spent fifteen years as a working artist—teaching, completing a master’s degree, and selling my work.
What I love about graphic recording is that it makes listening visible. In fast-moving conversations, visuals can hold opposing perspectives side by side, giving people space to reflect, revisit, and find new insights over time. A participant once said, “This is what listening looks like”—and I’ve carried that with me ever since.
Alongside my practice, I teach in the University of Minnesota’s Design Department, where I lead courses on the role of storytelling in design. Whether in the classroom or on the wall with markers in hand, my work is about opening minds, sparking clarity, and holding space for complexity. Here are some of my favorite projects with you. Thanks for stopping by!
